The Story so far….

It all started with one iPod in January 2009, Carl gave up his precious iPod to be sold, raising money for clean water wells in Orissa, India. Many people caught the idea and donated their iPods to be sold as well.

Along the way, major bands got on board 16 in total. Top artists like Pink, Duffy, Seether, Live, Good Charlotte. We also had Dave Dobbyn, ElemenoP, Kingston, Opshop and Nathan King all donate their signatures to raise more money for the people of Orissa.

Then the “REVOLUTION” shirt was born thanks to my talented wife and her Photoshop skills! Printed on fair-trade India cotton from Micah clothing and screen printing by Blend creative.

Very quickly word got around, about a chef building wells in Orissa with the funds raised from donated iPods. Jude from Essence said “Why not make up tin so customers can put their lose change in?” and so we did. So far that little tin has raised $190, thank you Essence customers!

Unfortunately, One late and dark night Essence was robbed by thieves with the till torn from the bench…Amazingly the well tin remained full of money!

To date $10,657 has been raised build 2+ wells! For those communities in Orissa, in desperate need of water. Now our chef Carl is heading to India with TEAR fund to see the good work they are doing with money just like ours and bringing tangible hope for those in desperate poverty.

Keep following our journey and our jet setting Chef!

Remember, you don’t have to be a rock star to change the world, just use what’s in your hand…
